SPIRITS Magazine is a student-led literary magazine founded at Indiana University Northwest. We accept poetry, short fiction, prose, creative nonfiction, artwork, and photography for publication from IUN and non-IUN students across the world.

Garin Cycholl
Garin Cycholl’s novel, Rx, is a play on The Confidence-Man, a man practicing medicine without a license in a Dis-united States. His other recent work has appeared in The Fortnightly Review and Denver Quarterly. His book-length poem, prairied, is forthcoming from BlazeVOX.
Editor in Chief:

Faith L. Smith
Aside from being the editor-in-chief of SPIRITS Literary Magazine, Faith is a self-published author of her poetry collection, Thoughts of a Sober Heart, social media manager and content creator. Faith is pursuing her Bachelors of Science in English from Indiana University Northwest.

Lexi Senezcko
Lexi is a senior studying English Writing. She hopes to one day publish her own book and wants to continue working in creative fields for as long as possible. When she isn’t working as a tutor at the Writing Center, she loves haunting indie bookstores and spending time with her sphynx cat, Jinx.

Stephanie Garcia
Stephanie is a senior at Indiana University Northwest pursuing a B.A in English Writing. She rides the life wave with drive, motivation, and natural leadership. Passionate about creative expression through writing, painting, and digital media, she aspires to read 150 books annually. Balancing these pursuits with dedicated mom duties to her four kids, Stephanie embraces the unknown future.

Philip Culbertson
Philip Culbertson was born in the 1900s (1992). He is an English major with interests including; Cognitive Linguistics, Schema Theory, Creative Writing, and Art. In his free time, he likes to draw, paint, write, make videos of my cats, and read.
Graphic Design Editor:

Catheryn Markus
Catheryn is a sophomore majoring in Graphic Design. Apart from any artistic endeavors, she is also passionate about writing and thinks F. Scott Fitzgerald is the best thing since sliced bread (or before? She isn’t really sure when sliced bread was invented). In her free time she loves reading, writing, playing the piano.
